Water Clock

Patent Filed 1989

Dad tried a completely different approach to clock design on this one.  We bought stock clock parts and stuck them on the back of this wonderful kinetic water display.  The little cylinders were cut from plastic prescription vials and strung on nylon fish line.  We installed aquarium pumps to create bubbles that would lift and toss around the plastic cylinders.  We cut up acrylic to make the cases and glued the parts together.  We made these clocks at Kinetico Studios for a few years, but I think we were better at soldering than gluing, and we went back to concentrating on our brass clocks.
