Car Chair & Rocking Chair

Chairs became Dad’s focus around the turn of the
millennium. The Old Car Chair reflected
his interest in old cars, and the rocking chair reminded me of chairs his
grandfather had built. This to me was a
synchronicity, as his grandfather was a talented engineer, known for building
bridges over some of our major waterways.
But Bampa built a great chair too.
Dad designed and built so many things that he never
patented, of course. Many prototypes collected
on shelves or scrap piles around Kinetico Studios over the years. I’ve saved what I can for our Kinetico
museum, along with examples of all the stuff we made at Kinetico Studios. Someday I hope to set up the museum
somewhere and invite everyone to come.
